Why We Offer Free Repairs

If your bag breaks, most brands tell you to buy a new one.

We ask you to send it back.

We’ve offered free repairs since day one. It’s not a new marketing campaign and it’s not a sustainability gimmick. It’s just how we’ve always done things.

Why do we do it?

Because we believe in what we make. We want you to love your 3QUARTERS product. We handcraft everything with care, test it thoroughly and do our best for them to have a long life.

Nothing lasts forever though, materials age, components break, zippers wear out. That’s why we offer product repairs, free of charge.

Our bags are built from marine-grade materials designed to survive all conditions and they’re tough. Nothing lasts forever though, materials age, components break, zippers wear out. When that happens, we want to fix it, not sell you a replacement. That’s why we offer product repairs, free of charge.

The throwaway problem.

Most products are designed to be thrown away and it even has a name, it’s called “planned obsolescence.” Brands make things that break deliberately, so you have to buy again.

We think that’s wrong. It wastes materials and energy, it fills up landfills, and it treats customers like wallets, not people.

We’d rather have a happy customer with a repaired bag than a frustrated customer with a new bag.

How does it work?

  • Something broke?
  • You contact us.
  • You send it to our Athens workshop.
  • We fix it.
  • We send it back to you.

That’s it. No charge and no questions asked. As long as we can repair it, we will.

What it says about us.

We stand behind our products. We’re not in it for quick sales. We’re in it for the long term.

When you buy from us, you’re not just buying a bag. You’re buying a relationship. You’re buying the confidence that we’ll take care of you if something goes wrong.

A note on materials.

Life raft material is incredibly durable. Most repairs we do are on components—zippers, straps, stitching. The material itself almost never fails, that’s the beauty of marine-grade stuff. But even if it does fail, we’ll find a way to fix it or replace it.

We’ve been doing this for over a decade. Free repairs, always, with no exceptions. And we’re not going to stop.
